About the Director
Laura I. Maniglia is a professional educator with more than four decades of experience. She holds a BA summa cum laude in English, a Masters degree in American & British Literature, and a Sixth Year in Administration & Supervision. She has served as a high school teacher and administrator in the tri-state region before she established Handle Associates in 1995. She has also been part of the Adjunct faculty at Quinnipiac University and Middlesex Community College.
Mrs. Maniglia is the author of the Handle Associates Writing Skills Workbook, which is the primary text for the Writing Program.. She contributes blogs to: Patch.com/Branford and other towns.. Mrs. Maniglia has volunteered her teaching expertise at St. Martin de Porres Academy in New Haven.
In addition to owning and operating the “distance learning” center, she is a national trainer for Time to Teach!, a division of the Center for Teacher Effectiveness. Her own teacher training programs include Zoned In for cognitive & non-cognitive skills and GO! for organization and time management.
