| This program focuses on a student's
ability to communicate effectively in writing. Students begin by taking a
diagnostic test. The results provide the basis for that student's
program. They learn the structure and function of parts of
speech, sentences, paragraphs, and essays. Instruction for the
verbal sections of the SAT's and ACT's is also available in this
program. Participants receive private instruction during each
semi-weekly session. This language arts program emphasizes the
production of clear, concise, informative writing.
Students from grades 5 and above are welcome to participate in this
